Voting

Voting in the November 3, 2020 General Election

Mimi believes voting should always be convenient and safe.  With COVID-19 keeping people at home, voters should take advantage of New Mexico’s Absentee vote-by-mail program, otherwise known as Absentee Voting. Please request your absentee ballot online today to keep our poll workers, election officials and community safe.

ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL

The deadline to request an Absentee Ballot by mail has passed–please vote in person.

After you receive your ballot, return your ballot as quickly as possible, making sure that it’s filled out entirely.  You can track the status of your absentee ballot online or call your county clerk to be sure they have your ballot.

You can also drop off your ballot at any of the Early or Election Day Voting sites (see below). By dropping off your Absentee Ballot at a voting location, you can avoid any concerns you may have about USPS mail delivery.

The Secretary of State strongly urges you to return your Absentee Ballot by mail no later than Tuesday, October 27 to be sure it arrives by the election.  After October 27, please hand-deliver your Absentee Ballot to a voting site near you. All ballots must be returned and mailed to arrive by 7pm, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 to your county clerk in order to be counted.
