2019 Legislative Session

Sen. Mimi Stewart has been recognized as "New Mexico's Most Effective Legislator." As Senate Majority Whip, Stewart works hard to craft significant legislation and move it through the legislative process to become law. 

Check out the list of legislation, including SB 47 to increase teacher salaries and SB 275 to increase the use of renewable energy in the state, that Sen. Stewart is working on this session.

This process has not always been transparent and many people have found it diffcult to advocate for the projects that matter to them and to our communities.
